Group Account Director

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


Corporate level & Personal Trait:


1.   Be a passionate, clear, honest and brave role model of the agency - not afraid to challenge the client’s views, backed up with strong rationales, genuine consumer insight and forward thinking and visionary person.


Client Management/Satisfaction:


2.   Ensure effective day-to-day communications with the client to build/maintain client relationships in the delivery of agency solutions.

3.   Conduct Weekly Work in Progress Meeting with the agency key team members as well as the client to ensure the projects are well controlled and meet the set deadlines.

4.   Maintain and improve relationship with clients and service quality delivery.


Strategic Stewardship


5.   Ensure that the agency team members adhere to strategic direction as set and agreed by the agency and client.

6.   Manage oversight of the service delivery process on all client support needs. Ensure that integrated multi-channel strategies are well executed and cascaded down.

7.   Leads the development of new project initiatives that are appropriate to clients’


8.   Cultivates senior-level client relationships to achieve highest level of client and Brand satisfaction/retention.

9.   Leverage strengths of key disciplines including: Branding, TV buying power, media

planning/placement, CSR, CSV, CRM, creative, events, digital/social media solutions.

10. Champions the working collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating

professionalism, integrity, creativities and action oriented – walk the talk.

11. Become immersed in the client’s brand - understand the brand challenges, the competitor landscape and business issues.

12. Understand industry trends to be able to proactively suggest ideas and approaches

to the clients

13. Work closely with the creative director, digital manager, media director and strategic planner to articulate ideas to produce a compelling strategy for client’s brand.

14. Manage day-to-day service delivery commitments

15. Ensure that service delivery issues are properly documented and escalated immediately and properly solved by/with the agency team and client as appropriate

16. Coaches, leads and mentoring team members in proposal writing, presentation both orally and in writing.

17. Monitors and mentors the team for highly effective time management and organization skills.

18. Provide proactive problem solving and negotiation for maintaining the accounts and

maximize client spending.


Team Management/Leadership


19. Demonstrating personal passion, objective oriented, poise under pressure to show a good role model for the subordinates.

20. Lead in sales and new business development in the following core areas: creativities,

digital/social solutions and event/activation and production.

21. Manage day-to-day service delivery priorities to meet client satisfaction requirements

22. Create and build a culture of esprit de corps as a team and with individuals to achieve service excellence

23. Key Account Financial Management and responsible on top-line revenue and profitability across projects.

24. Create, maintain and update accurate ongoing forecasts for the client overall,

campaigns and project level work




25. Contribute to expanding agency’s services & solutions footprint in coordination with the other divisions including, Fashion & Lifestyle division, and digital platform solutions.
