Community Sales Executive

Job Description

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Propose goals and KPIs for own area and track ongoing results; and ensure that objectives in terms of subs, revenues, profitability, sales growth and customer retention are achieved.
  • Manage the implementation of consumer programs for all the differentiated vertical markets and achieve high level of ROI.
  • Conduct regular customer visits as per call plan to offer plan call activity, collect customer insight and recommend improvement action to Sales Director.
  • Drive sales lead generation, negotiation, signup contract document preparation; and ensure payment and contract term are complied by the customer.
  • Provide ongoing, on time and detailed community market intelligent reports to inform management decision and planning.
  • Establish close working relationships with key corporate customer and community leaders to gain their support and loyalty.
  • Ensure all community sales activities are complied to company\'s code of conduct and all corporate policies and guidelines.
  • Actively contribute to corporate and brand image and values.
  • Any other task as directed by senior management.

Operating Environment:

  • The critical responsibility for Community Sales Executive is to achieve the sales target and channel objective, defined by the Sales Director in his/her area of operations.
  • The Job holder is expected to work the minimum hours specified by the Company policy.

Communications and Working Relationships: 


  • Work closely with legal team to ensure compliance of contract during customer negotiation and finalizing stage.
  • Work closely with Sales Support, Supply Chain, Finance & Account team to ensure effective sales process, financial control, billing and payment collections.
  • Work in conjunction with Marketing team to align consumer and community channel activities to ensure effective execution.


  • Build strong business relationships with key corporate and community leaders.

Framework, Boundaries, Decision Making Authority and Responsibility:

  • The Community Sales Executive works within guidelines and directions set by the Sales Director in ensuring delivery of community channel objectives.
  • The Community Sales Executive has the authority to make enquiries necessary to enable him/her to fully complete assigned tasks as encapsulated herein, and to escalate to Sales Director where this authority is not complied with.

Job Requirement

Knowledge Skills and Experience:


  • Approx. 2 years experience in channel/ territory sales representative level in FMCG company (preferably Telecom)


  • Bachelor Degree and above or equivalent
  • Good command of English; Fluent in both spoken and written

Functional Knowledge & Skills

  • Core basic telecom knowledge
  • Effective Selling
  • Computer Skills: Ms Windows, Ms Office: Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint
  • Driving License

Managerial & Interpersonal Skills

  • Basis people management
  • Good interpersonal skill
